The eStartUp Competition is a business skill accelerating competition in which Zambian eCommerce startups compete for prizes and brand recognition. The final pitching of ideas will be held during the Annual e-commerce Expo Event. If you have an exciting new product or service, participating in eStartUp Competition will give you access to the practical knowledge, mentorship, and resources to take your venture to the next level. Competition winners are the best of the best in Zambia and will receive recognition through the E-commerce Expo Zambia network devoted to enabling early-stage e-commerce entrepreneurs to transform ideas into world-changing companies. The winners stand a chance to walk away with $1,000 seed funding.

Individuals or teams will complete the online application. The description of your idea should include the following:
Judges in each division will evaluate all submissions and select semi finalists that qualify for advancement. Only semi finalists will be allowed to participate in the business model round. Judges’ decisions are final.
Semi finalists will formalize their creative ideas .The submission must include a cover page, one page executive summary (one page), the business model (one page), and up to two pages of additional materials explaining the different areas of the business or other related supporting information. Proposals that do not follow the above-mentioned guidelines for composition and page length will not be accepted.
The business model should address the following areas:
Judges will evaluate all submissions and select finalists that are worthy for advancement. Only finalists will be allowed to participate in the presentation round. Judges’ decisions are final.
During the ecommerce expo Conference finalists will make a three-minute presentation to a panel of judges. This will be followed by a two-minute question and answer period. The presentation should be a synopsis of the enterprise with the goal to persuade the panel to invest time, energy, or resources toward the contestant’s idea. In other words, the presentation should clearly demonstrate why your idea provides value to its potential customers and/or society, could become a viable business and should be the winner of the eStartUp Competition
